Today a growing number of people are choosing a different way of keeping healthy. In recent years there has been a profound re-thinking of health and disease. A better-informed public are demanding a more effective and natural way of dealing with illness. Today over thirty million people in Europe benefit from Homeopathy and the numbers are increasing. World-wide it is the second most used medicine after herbalism.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that takes into account the whole person - not only the physical symptoms but also their health on mental and emotional levels. Modern thinking now recognises that illness can begin at these levels and by attending to health at this level previously difficult conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, arthritis, tinnitus, diabetes and many more can be effectively treated.

Everyone is Different!

Homeopaths prescribe a remedy that is specifically suited to the person as well as the symptoms of the illness. It is not uncommon for two people with the same diagnosed disease to be prescribed different remedies. For example one person's eczema may have come on after grief and another person's may have been triggered after a frightening experience. It's no coincidence that rashes can be described as 'angry' nor is 'irritable bowel syndrome' incorrectly named.

You can take Homeopathic remedies at the same time as conventional medicine

Good news! If you are taking beta blockers, H.R.T, insulin or antidepressants at the same time as homeopathic remedies there may come a time when it is possible to reduce the conventional medicine as your condition improves.

Any decision to reduce conventional medicine must be a decision between you and your G.P.

Homeopathic Treatment

The first consultation can take up to an hour. This is necessary to obtain as full a 'picture' as possible of both the person and the illness. Follow-up appointments are to check progress and monitor how the remedy and the person are doing. These are shorter and can last around thirty minutes.

What Makes Homeopathy So Popular?

The Homeopath takes as much time as is necessary to talk to you about the problem. The remedies are

  • safe
  • natural
  • non-addictive
  • non-toxic
  • not tested on animals

Homeopathy can treat a whole range of conditions, from first aid and emergencies, e.g. sprains, strains, bites and stings to the much more serious and deeper-seated conditions such as eczema, arthritis, psoriasis, anxiety, fear & panic attacks, depression, diabetes (type 2), drug and alcohol problems, bronchitis, asthma, hay fever, Meniere's disease and M.E. And yes, it can help with flu too!
